I arrived in Sydney as a teenager with my parents and siblings in the 1980’s from my native Nicaragua, Central America. Shortly after my arrival, I completed a diploma in business from TAFE (technical college in New South Wales) which was my pathway to getting into university to finish a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
My first job was for a local council (municipality) as an accounts clerk. I realised that the organisation wasn’t for me and successfully moved to a large bank in the customer service and cashiering team.
Three years later, I left to take up a senior finance role with a government department where I managed the financials for rental property portfolios valued at AUD180 million.
I left that organisation when I completed a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the reputable Macquarie University in Sydney in 2011.
I started providing career coaching services more than 15 years ago in a variety of sectors based on my clients’ specific needs.
In 2022, I graduated from the same university with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) where I completed units in executive coaching, leadership, and strategic management.
My current role is with a large (over 32 thousand employees) transport company where I am a category manager for the procurement of goods and services.
I highly recommend to my clients and friends changing careers several times in their working lives until they discover their passion and fall in love with what they do.
